SECRET VENICE WEDDING

Just look at that photo. I have been really looking forward to blogging about this secret wedding! When I see these photos it solidifies that I simply must make it to Venice, preferably this week.

It was such a great pleasure to work closely with Moscha to create her custom bridal bouquet. Moscha is a wedding planner herself in Greece so she knew through experience just how she wanted her wedding to be. The design of her bouquet included various white silk fabrics and vintage green and blue rhinestone centers to coordinate with her color scheme. See her emerald ring? Stunning and unique.

Each floral stem in the bouquet was covered in bronze silk dupioni to match her shoes and jewelry and then finished off with binding the stems together in a wide emerald green ribbon sash. Here are some more details of this beautiful wedding.

This stunning photography is by Andrea & Marcus who are based in New York but will travel. Event planning by Stella and Moscha with Andrea Naar Alba locally in Venice and as Moscha says, "is the best planner a planner can get." I really can't say enough about how wonderful everybody on this team was to work with. Hopefully we will get the chance to do it again soon! What a wonderful treat that would be.

The bouquet is now home with Moscha in Greece at her office where it is on display for clients and visitors. I am sure it is very happy there! A fun blog post where Aizawa visiting from Japan holds it to "bring her good luck" is here. Glimpses into what comes for my work after the wedding are rare so this was a lot of fun for me to see. VALENTINE'S DAY GIFT PEEK

Valentine's Day is fast approaching and this year I wanted to show you guys something that I created that I think you may enjoy. This silk chiffon peony has a well kept secret.

You see, Valentine's Day is my mother's favorite holiday. So it is only fitting that I create something special for her. Don't worry, Mom won't know that I am showing you her present before she gets it. Just don't tell her that you saw it first *wink*.

The hand pressed silk chiffon peony is actually a clip/brooch combo that detaches from the base stem. This makes is possible to wear in your hair, as a pin, clipped to a hat, anywhere that you wish! I centered this flower with a vintage hand carved mother of pearl disc that is embellished with champagne Swarovski crystals and silver glass seed beads.

Two different colors of silk chiffon combine to add interest. The stem itself has handmade silk velvet leaves and fits beautifully into an antique perfume bottle that I will be using to present this to her. Did you guys create anything for Valentine's Day? I would love to hear about it!

A hand made silk bouquet in several different shades. It's plum, purple and champagne! Watch out when these colors join forces it can be difficult to look away. Each flower is cut and pressed in the studio and features beautiful rhinestone or freshwater pearl centers.

Taupe and blush, a supreme romantic among color combos as shown via survey of Emici Bridal designers (me). Blush silk taffeta ring bearer pillow with the softest taupe grosgrain ribbon bow. Topped off with blush silk dupioni blooms and hand dyed, handmade silk velvet leaves. Ooh la la!

Linen, that quintessential warm weather fabric with its classic chic wink brings a special charm to this ring bearer pillow. Blush silk blooms and velvet leaves make it ceremony worthy. Also available with ivory blooms if desired.

Of course the petite bouquets are here! Yippee! Each of these lovely bundles holds hand pressed and formed flowers and leaves using silk dupioni, silk taffeta, hand dyed silk satin for hydrangea blooms centered with genuine freshwater pearls and adorable silk velvet leaves. The Grand Petite Bouquet. A bit larger than the standard petite bouquet and also boasts larger velvet leaves.

Here we have a concept sash so there is only one available right now. Sometimes I get an idea in my head and simply have to try it out. This is one of those pieces. A wide grosgrain ribbon that is incredibly soft with a beautiful sheen. Accented with raw edge silk satin ruffles that are so smooth even my Barry White album took notice. Beaded with rhinestones, crystal quartz and white topaz gemstones. Available for purchase on my website here.

These flowers start out as two different kinds of silk chiffon that is hand dyed to reach the perfect shade of blush. Then finally the chiffon can be put through the steps to be made into these beautiful blooms for you. Paired with handmade, hand dyed silk velvet leaves and placed onto a satin ribbon. Perfect as a simple hairband.

Triple blush bloom halo for your lovely crown and one of the very first pieces I created for this new collection.

Sterling silver wire crystal quartz sprigs add a bit of sparkle to this silk covered headband. French net and blush feathers peek out from a cluster of three handmade silk chiffon flowers to finish it off.

Gorgeous champagne silk french trim makes this a one of a kind piece. This style will be available with a blush silk satin ribbon as well but I could not resist offering two of this style with the champagne and a baby pink french trim (shown below). Who am I to keep you apart? Paired with vintage picot edge lace and blush feathers. A truly unique addition to the line.

Cashmere color textured silk ring bearer pillow with removable floral brooch.

Sometimes a simple bloom is all you need. On the left you have a classic blush blossom and on the right is the one of a kind freshwater and crystal beaded peony with feather accents. The peony is one of a kind.

Silk chiffon and vintage champagne lace trim cuff. Love the delicate picot edge. Feminine in all ways as a floral cuff tends to be. It needs no help in the love department.

Ah yes, the dot silk chiffon overlay with blush silk dupioni back ring bearer pillows. Cheery little things they are. Imagine these in a garden wedding. Available with your choice of silk satin peonies beaded with freshwater pearls or silk velvet leaves topped with a vintage abalone button. The pillow in the right is also available in ivory.

Sweetly proper polka dot silk chiffon flower with blush chiffon underlay on a silk satin ribbon. A great way to add a whimsical touch to your hair. Could this get any cuter? Nope.
